2008 ACM AWARDS - QUICK FACTS

The Academy of Country Music Awards air live on CBS, May 18, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

TAYLOR SWIFT

Taylor Swift leads the field of female nominees for this year's ACM Awards with three - Album of the Year, Top Female Vocalist and Top New Female Vocalist.  She will be performing live on the show as well...

KENNY CHESNEY

Kenny Chesney leads the ACM Awards with 11 nominations, including Album of the Year for Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates, Male Vocalist of the Year, Song, Single and Video of the Year as well as the coveted Entertainer of the Year.  Chesney has scored 3 consecutive ACM Entertainer of the Year awards.

KELLIE PICKLER

Kellie Pickler will debut her new single "Don't You Know You're Beautiful" on the ACM Awards.  The single is from her upcoming sophomore album.  Her debut album, Small Town Girl, had 3 hit singles including "Red High Heels," and "I Wonder."

SUGARLAND

Sugarland will premiere their brand new single, “All I Want To Do” live at the ACM Awards.  The single is from their upcoming third album, Love On The Inside, which will hit stores on July 22.

KEITH URBAN

Keith Urban is nominated for the ACM Entertainer of the Year and the Top Male Vocalist of the Year and he will be performing live on the show.  Urban has chosen to sing “Tu Compania” – it’s not his new single or one of his hits…  This performance will be the first shown on TV of the song – and likely the only time shown on TV.
